Research Highlight – Far-UV and Indoor Air Quality

This week, the McNeill Group has been studying the impact of a prototype Far-UV disinfection device on air quality in an office. UV lamps, used for disinfecting surfaces and air, can generate oxidants that react with volatile organic compounds, like the fragrance in cleaning products, to make small particles.
